Experiential Education Opportunities for ALL students
Summer 2025 NGA Paid Internship/Applications due September 30
Students ages 16+ who are interested in the intelligence community or government work should consider applying for this PAID internship at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The internship will take place next summer 2025, but applications are due September 30. The Chelsea Center can help students and their families access virtual information sessions on 9/18 and 9/25 to receive more information and ask questions.
NGA is a unique combination of intelligence agency and combat support agency. It is the world leader in timely, relevant, accurate and actionable Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT). NGA enables the U.S. intelligence community and the Department of Defense (DOD) to fulfill the President’s national security priorities to protect the nation. NGA also anticipates its partners’ future needs and advances the GEOINT discipline to meet them.
The High School Internship Program is for high school students, age 16 or older, looking for real world experience. This internship will offer students the opportunity to gain relevant work experience while contributing to an important and purposeful mission. NGA High School Interns perform a variety of entry-level functions and tasks in support of the organization to which they are assigned. They are given a work project that involves problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Specific duties may include the preparation and presentation of briefings directly related to work assigned.
Students should come by the Chelsea Center, room 200, to register for a virtual information session or get help with the application. Additional registration available to students via their GivePulse account at bit.ly/ngainternship.
Student Election Judges for November 5 General Election
Experience democracy in action helping veteran Election Judges run the November 5th General Election as voters choose the next President of the United States. Election Judges help make it possible for citizens to exercise their right to vote. You must be between the ages of 15 and 17, and the election board wants to match WGHS students with Webster Groves polling places. (18 year old students can apply to be an Election Judge.) Choose to earn Service Hours or receive payment for your time. This looks great on college applications! Find more information and register on the GivePulse event at bit.ly/2024judge, or come see us in the Chelsea Center room 200 and we will get you set up.
