ELC at George Earle Weekly Update

Above is Mrs. Helminski's class getting their first stamp in their Christmas Airlines Passport as they got ready to board their flight to Mexico. Below is Miss Buckley's class all loaded onto their plane and someone snapped this pic of their journey on their initial take off. Their first stop, Germany!

In other parts of the hallway, Captain Schiller is getting ready to jet her kids off to Norway!

Our Kindergarten classes have been traveling the world learning all about what other countries do to celebrate the holidays. They have been learning so much about how other places do the holidays.

They have traveled to Sweden and celebrated St. Lucia’s Day. They made candle wreath crowns. St. Lucia uses her candlelight crown to deliver food to those in need.

They visited France. They set their shoes out on lockers to see if Pere Noel would leave them a treat. They also decorated and ate their own buche de noel (Yule log). Joyeux Noel

They went to Mexico and learned about how the poinsettia became known as a Christmas flower. Feliz Navidad!

Winter is here, so please be sure to dress your children for the weather. We will continue to have outdoor recess as much as possible, but students will not be able to go out if they are not properly dressed for the weather.
