Doctor's Note Required for School Absences
Due to a change in school code by the Illinois State Board of Education, this school year a medical note is required for parents/guardians who select the: “MEDUE: Medical/Dental Appointment” excuse option for their student in Infinite Campus or call their student out of school for a medical/dental appointment.
The revised school code defines "valid cause" for absence as the following: Illness, including the mental or behavioral health of the student; attendance at a verified medical or therapeutic appointment; appointment with a victim services provider. Please note that the student’s absence will be marked unexcused in Infinite Campus until a medical note is provided.
We understand this is a change in practice from previous years. Please know that our front office is here to help answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Referendum Community Information Meetings this Month
During the first half of 2024, more than 2,500 community members collaborated on a plan to continue to improve Barrington 220's aging school buildings. The final $64M community-driven plan will go to you, the voter, for approval as a referendum question on this November 5 election ballot. If successful, the referendum will:
- Increase Safety & Security throughout Barrington 220
- Build a New Community Auditorium at Barrington High School
- Enhance STEAM and Instructional Spaces for Students
Join us at one of our upcoming community meetings to learn more about the referendum, tour current spaces, and see why these improvements are needed:
- 6pm Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Station Campus
- 6pm Thursday, Sept. 19 at Barbara B. Rose Elementary
- Noon Saturday, Sept. 28 at Barrington High School (immediately following the homecoming parade)

All 4th and 5th grade Boys and Girls are welcome to join Roslyn Choir! Roslyn Choir is an after school club where all we do is sing! This is a great opportunity for the students to work on their singing skills, build friendships, and perform at various events throughout the year.
We will be rehearsing after school on Mondays from 2:45 - 3:30, starting September 16th. There will be a fee of $15.00 for music and t-shirts that will be added to your school account after we begin rehearsals.

Barrington High School Football Game Fan Information
We are excited to have a new high school football season upon us and an opportunity to cheer on our Broncos under the Friday night lights!
New this football season, we are excited to extend our partnership with GoFan to provide spectators the option of cashless concession stand payments at both Chuckwagons! Spectators who are interested in purchasing items from the concession stands with credit/debit cards will pay an additional .30 cents per transaction and an additional 3% of the cost of each item. For example, something that costs $1.00, if you chose to pay with a card, the cost would be $1.33. All major credit cards will be accepted as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments in cash will still be accepted at both Chuckwagons.
For each home football game, Barrington High School has staff and security personnel present during the game to help ensure overall safety and provide a positive experience for all individuals attending and watching the football game.
For additional information regarding the fan experience, please click here.
