As the varsity soccer goalie, Dominic plays a pivotal role in preparing the team for their matches, ensuring everything is set up smoothly on the field. His dedication to soccer dates back to kindergarten, showcasing his passion and commitment to the sport.
Not content with excelling solely in soccer, Dominic also served as the Captain of the swim team. His leadership shines through as he guides the team through drills and workouts, a responsibility he took on after being an integral part of the swim team since his sophomore year.
Beyond athletics, Dominic is an active member of the National Honor Society, where he undertakes an Individual Service Project benefiting younger students. Outside of school, Dominic is deeply involved in 4-H, demonstrating his commitment to agriculture and livestock management. His dedication is noted by his teachers and peers alike, earning praise from Teacher Michelle Parsons. In his free time, Dominic enjoys horseback riding, roping, and, of course, hunting during duck season. His diverse interests reflect a well-rounded individual who values hard work and enjoys the rewards of his efforts.
Looking toward the future, Dominic plans to pursue a career as a large animal/livestock veterinarian and dreams of owning his own ranch.

Pam Didier Receives Prestigious Coach of the Year Award from DDCA for Outstanding Dance Leadership
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Pam Didier, our exceptional SHS and SMS Dance Coach, for her well-deserved recognition as the recipient of the 1-4A Coach of the Year award from the esteemed Dance Drill Coaches Association of Oregon (DDCA). The DDCA's commendation of Coach Didier highlights her remarkable contributions to the dance community statewide and also right here in our special Scappoose community. Coach Didier, your dedication and passion for dance are truly inspiring, and we are incredibly fortunate to have you supporting these outstanding programs at SSD. Congratulations once again on this outstanding achievement!
Here is what the DDCA had to say regarding Coach Didier’s honor:
Our 1-4A Coach of the Year has been coaching for 26 years. She has worn several hats during that time. She is a former judge for Dance/Drill in Oregon, and also served on the DDCA Board of Directors for four years. Currently, she volunteers for the NDCA (National Dance Coaches Association) and has been involved as a staff writer and editor for the last five years. She is not only a successful coach but she is also an advocate for dance in her community. With the help of her dance friends and coaching staff, she spearheaded the creation of a non-profit organization and coordinates a youth dance program for grades 1st through 8th.
Twelve years later, that program now has over 100 kids participating each year in dance between the youth and high school teams. The achievements of her dance students do not end with high school. Nearly every assistant, coach, or choreographer for the high school or youth dance has been an alumna/alumnus of their program. Several graduates have gone to major in dance at prestigious arts colleges; some have joined professional dance companies, theater companies, college dance teams, or danced for the NBA Blazers. Scappoose School District is blessed to have her as a teacher and coach. And we are all fortunate to have her as an advocate for dance.
