George T. Cromwell Elementary
Special Edition!
Message from Mrs. Morgan
Dear George T. Cromwell Families,
I am sending you this special edition of the parent newsletter to recognize two of our fabulous teachers who will be retiring after this year: Mrs. Oxendine (second grade teacher) and Mrs. Edwards (Art Teacher).
The George Cromwell learning community and I are honored to celebrate the remarkable career of these two esteemed educators. As we bid farewell, we reflect on the profound impact they have had on our school community.
From the very first day Mrs. Oxendine and Mrs. Edwards walked through these doors, it was evident that we were in the presence of someone extraordinary. With a heart full of passion and a mind brimming with knowledge, they dedicated themselves to the art of teaching. Their commitment to excellence has inspired not only their students but also their colleagues.
Throughout Mrs. Oxendine's and Mrs. Edwards' years of service, they have shaped the minds and touched the lives of countless students. Their classroom was not just a place of learning but a haven where students felt safe, valued, and motivated to reach their fullest potential. They taught with creativity, patience, and a genuine love for education that was contagious.
One of the hallmarks of Mrs. Oxendine's and Mrs. Edwards' careers has been their ability to connect with students on a personal level. They understood that teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but about nurturing the whole person. Many of their former students, now successful in various fields, still speak fondly of the guidance and encouragement they received during their formative years.
These two remarkable teachers have also been a pillar of our school community. They contributed to countless initiatives, from organizing events to mentoring new teachers. Their presence will be sorely missed, but they leave behind a legacy of dedication and a spirit of camaraderie that will continue to inspire us all.
As Mrs. Oxendine and Mrs. Edwards embark on this new chapter of their life, we wish them all the joy and fulfillment that retirement brings. While we will miss their daily presence, we know that they will continue to make a difference in the world, just as they have done here.
Please join me in expressing our deepest gratitude and heartfelt best wishes to Mrs. Oxendine and Mrs. Edwards. May their retirement be filled with new adventures, cherished moments, and the knowledge that they have made an indelible mark on our hearts and minds.
