December 2024
Principal's Corner
Dear Carberry Elementary Families,
As we step into this festive season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the joy and growth we’ve seen in our students this year. December is a time for celebration, connection, and creating cherished memories, and it’s also a wonderful opportunity to nurture your child’s learning and development at home.
During the upcoming holiday breaks, I encourage you to spend time reading with your children and playing family games together. These simple yet meaningful activities not only strengthen family bonds but also help foster a love of learning and critical thinking skills. Whether it’s reading a favorite holiday story, exploring new books, or engaging in board games or puzzles, your attention and involvement make a tremendous difference in their growth.
Students thrive when they feel connected and supported, and they learn invaluable lessons—such as teamwork, problem-solving, and patience—when playing games with loved ones. Your engagement in these moments builds a foundation for their success, both academically and personally.
On behalf of all of us at Carberry Elementary, I wish you a joyful and restful holiday season filled with laughter, love, and learning. Thank you for being a vital part of our school community and for all that you do to support your child’s education.
Warm regards,
Greg Alexander
Principal, Carberry Elementary School
