Congratulations to our eight WMS Chorus students who auditioned and were selected by a panel of judges for the South Carolina ACDA Honor Choir! This was our first year auditioning students for this event. Our students worked hard learning a solo and recording a blind audition that was sent off to the state to be adjudicated.

These eight singers will join Ms. Chinn-Klaich at Francis Marion University in January to participate in the state-wide Honor Choir Clinic. They will prepare assigned music ahead of time and arrive to learn with a Clinician and sing with the other music students selected in the state. They will perform in the Honor Choir on January 25th. We are so proud of them for their hard work! Go Warriors!

In honor of Veterans Day, Monday will be a half day for students with dismissal at 12:15 pm. Several local activites you and your family may want to participate in are listed below:

Interims will be sent home for every class on Wednesday, November 13th. Please ask your student for them and contact your child's teachers if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support!

Our Warriors are in the middle of the Clemson/Carolina Beanstack Reading Challenge and we need your help! As a reward for meeting this challenge, we would like all of our eligible readers to be entered into a raffle for some Clemson and Carolina swag. If you would be willing to donate some raffle prizes (pens, pencils, notebooks, hats, cups, blankets, slippers, etc.), we would greatly appreciate it! This reading challenge ends on November 20th so we can raffle off these items on the 21st and get our Tigers and Gamecocks ready for rivalry weekend!

We celebrated our first Beanstack challenge winners on Wednesday with a Caramel Apple Bar. We are so proud of these students for reading 300+ minutes this past month. We look forward to having even more participation in future challenges as the year progresses.

Friday, November 15th will be a big day for our Warriors. Our Cross Country team will travel to Fort Jackson for the 3A State Qualifier starting at 2 pm and playoffs begin for our Varsity Football team. They will take on either Keenan or Swansea at Warrior Field at 7:30 pm. Come out and support your Warriors!

If you are interested in coming out for the Middle School Wrestling team, see the practice schedule and the meet schedule below. Middle School Wrestling's first practice will be Tuesday, November 12th at the Waccamaw High School Auxiliary gym.

You must have a current physical in order to come to practice. You must also fill out the BigTeams paperwork on the site: https://studentcentral.bigteams.com/index.php?keyword=/user/signin&school.

Registration to receive a toy from the Toys for Tots campaign ends at midnight on Monday, November 14th. A parent or guardian must apply. You will be notified through email as to when and where to pick up the toy, and you will need to show identification. Applications are accepted for children up to age 12.
