POINTS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The colder weather is upon us....which means it's a good time to confirm all contact information (parent/guardian and emergency phone numbers and emails) in the Parent Portal. This contact information is what the district uses to share delayed openings, school closures, and other important messages. Please use these directions if you need help updating contact information: "How to Update Parent/Guardian and Emergency Contact Information"
- Day of Giving-Thank You
- A huge shout out to Mrs. Amiel, Mrs. McArdle, Mrs. Englese our PTO Volunteers for their efforts, time, and planning of this AMAZING event!
- We emphasized with our students how their actions impacted others in their community.
Sing-A-Long Reminder
- December 16th at 2:15pm (with a snow date of December 18th).
- More details will come from your child(ren)'s teacher(s).
- This is a parent/guardian only event (no siblings); no more than 2-3 adults per child
- You may wish to bring a blanket/towel to sit on, as we will be using Jefferson Elementary School's gym for this event.

- The school district's 2025-2026 calendar was approved a few months ago. Click HERE for a copy.
- Report Cards/Progress Reports
- Report Cards for our Kindergarten students will be available on February 2, 2025.
- Report Cards for our 1st and 2nd grade students will be available on December 20, 2024. I will send you an email with directions on how to access when they are available.

PTO PLACE
- Dues: WE NEED JUST FIVE MORE FAMILIES TO CONTRIBUTE DUES TO EARN OUR PAJAMA DAY AND HIT OUR GOAL OF 50%! PLEASE CONSIDER ANY AMOUNT – ALL DUES GO BACK TO OUR STUDENTS AND SCHOOL.
- Holiday Gifts: With the holidays right fast approaching, please consider contributing to your child’s class gift as a way to say thank you to our wonderful teachers! Please feel free to contribute an individual gift as well.

AROUND THE CLASSROOMS
- I observed...
- students identifying a number that is one more or one less than a given number
- students practicing the formation of the magic 'c' letters; c, o, a, g, q, d, and s--always starting "at the top'
- bending their knees and rolling a ball to knock over a pin (Snowman Knock Down in Physical Education)
- In Art & Music, students are preparing for their Winter Sing-along and are looking forward to making music together in a few weeks! They have been creating a winter forest by tracing shapes and practicing drawing different types of lines. Ask your child what types of lines they have created!
