100 Mile Club
Since the 100 Mile Club has begun, we’re looking for more participants! The 100 Mile Club is open to all students, parents, and staff, and encourages everyone to run, jog, or walk at their own pace. Students can join at any time during the school year, and attendance is flexible—showing up late is better than not coming at all! Longmont Estates Elementary will be holding the 100 Mile Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:35-8:10 AM. The registration cost for 100 Mile Club is $25 per student per year. Please register online through Revtrak here.
We’ll meet on the west side of the school. If the field is snow-covered, we’ll move to the playground blacktop, and if it's raining, snowing, or below 15 degrees, we’ll head inside. Please remind your child to bring water, wear layers, and come with a positive attitude. The club’s goals are to improve physical fitness, set personal goals, build community, and boost academic achievement through physical activity.
We’d love to see you join the 100 Mile Club! For any questions or if you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Tiernay Dirks at tiernay.dirks@gmail.com.

Fall Festival
The LEE Fall Festival is just around the corner!
In just a few days your ghosts and goblins will once again have a chance to walk down Trick-or-Treat Street, win a dessert in the Cake Walk and enjoy lots of other fun games, including cardboard arcade games created by LEE’s STEM students! Yes, it’s time for our annual FALL FESTIVAL!
The Fall Festival is designed to be a wonderful school and family oriented event and our goal is for our entire community to attend! It is held at the school, and students and parents are encouraged to dress in costumes. Games and activities include: Cake Walk, Face Painting, Carnival Games and more! This year the Cotton Candy Spinners LoCO will be on site and offering a variety of flavors for purchase ($5 a cone cash or venmo).
And of course our Trick-or- Treat Street through the school hallways is a highlight for all!
*Important Information: This year, we are continuing the wristband system. Wristbands will
grant you access to all the games and prizes and will come with a complimentary bag of popcorn
and water! Wristbands can be purchased for $6. For even more value, you can opt for a pack of four wristbands, available at a price of $16.
If you aren’t playing games and are just going to Trick or Treat street, your entry is free!
**CASH and CHECK ONLY for entry!!**
In an effort to go zero waste, we will have water filling stations in addition to water for sale, so bring a reusable bottle! Also, don't forget to bring a bag to collect candy for Trick-or-Treat Street!
The Fall Festival is always such a huge success because of the support we receive from LEE families and the community.
Here are a few ways you can help make this a success.
-Volunteer to help before, during or after the festival.
-Donate a bag of candy for Trick or Treat Street.
Each class will be participating in a contest to see who can collect the most bags of candy. The winning class from K-2 and 3-5 will win an extra recess. Please donate candy by Friday, October 18 to your classroom(s).
-Donate a dessert for the always popular Cupcake Walk.
The cupcake walk is a Fall Festival favorite! Please bring in your baked goods
(either homemade or store bought) on Friday, October 18th by 3:00pm
Thank you for your support!

Dyslexia Awareness Month
Join us on October 30th from 5:00-6:00 pm at Burlington Elementary for an informative Dyslexia presentation. This event is perfect for parents looking to better understand the unique needs of students with dyslexia. While parents learn valuable strategies and insights, students can connect with peers who share similar learning differences and enjoy fun activities. Don't miss this opportunity to learn and grow together!
Halloween Parties and Parade
We are going to have the Halloween parade and classroom parties on Thursday, October 31st. If you do not want your child to participate, please let the teacher know and we will provide alternative activities. Here are a few details about the events:
Halloween Parade - The parade will start at 2:30pm and will take place outside on the playground blacktop. Parents, please line the perimeter of the blacktop and students will parade past you. Students will change into costumes before the parade. They are not allowed to wear costumes to school in the morning, and may only bring items that they are able to put on by themselves.
Halloween Party - Parties will start in the classroom before the parade. Please be thoughtful if you are sending in snacks for the classroom. We would like to encourage healthy options for students and please consider allergies as well. All snacks need to be prepackaged or store-bought (no homemade items will be accepted).
Students ARE NOT allowed to have the following items:
*Anything bloody or gory
*Any weapons (even if they are part of the costume)
*Face paint (minimal face paint is allowed if the students can apply it themselves)
If you have any questions, please contact the office or your child's teacher.
