Dr. Resma Byrne was appointed to succeed Dr. Allan Mucerino as Alvord's next Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Byrne begins her tenure on July 1, 2024, upon Dr. Mucerino’s retirement. Dr. Byrne currently serves as our Assistant Superintendent, responsible for delivering all educational services. She came to Alvord three years ago from the Walnut Valley Unified School District, where she served as the Director of Educational Services. She has also served as an elementary school principal and an assistant principal in her career at Walnut and Corona-Norco Unified School District, respectively.

Dr. Byrne will introduce herself to the Alvord Community in the near future. Congratulations Dr. Byrne!
