December Newsletter
Lakota Elementary School | December 2024
Dear Lakota Families,
As we head into the holiday season, we want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students. They have been busy bringing creativity and dedication to their school projects, impressing us with their enthusiasm for learning.
The elementary boys' basketball season has come to an exciting close, and we’re so proud of the teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship our athletes demonstrated throughout the season.
Students have also been deeply engaged in their classwork, showing great determination and focus. Additionally, we’ve seen wonderful collaboration between classes as students have partnered on reading projects, fostering both learning and new friendships.
We are incredibly thankful for our students and their families, who make our school such a vibrant and caring community. From all of us, we wish you a joyful and restful Thanksgiving!

National Substitute Teacher Day
On November 22nd, it was National Substitute Teacher Day. We want to take a moment to recognize and thank each of them for the vital role they play in our schools.
Dear Substitute Teachers,
Your dedication, flexibility, and willingness to step in at a moment’s notice help ensure that learning never skips a beat.
You are more than just “fill-ins”—you are educators, mentors, and positive role models for our students. Whether it’s managing lesson plans, supporting classroom routines, or bringing your unique experiences to the table, your contributions make a lasting impact on the lives of students and the school community.
Thank you for your adaptability, patience, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciate everything you do to support education.
