School Emergency Response Plan
Schools are considered to be one of the safest places in our communities. However, in reality, an emergency can happen. During an emergency, our #1 priority is the safety of our students and staff. We strongly encourage your to familiarize yourself with our Emergency Response Plan page on our website. Here is the link for your reference: Emergency Response Plan.
On this page and the links within it, you will find the following:
- An explanation of our Safety Protocols
- A video outlining our Emergency Response Plan
- Our School Emergency Program
THANK YOU
We want to extend our sincere thanks to our school community for your understanding as we lost both phone and internet service this past week. Your patience with this unexpected interruption is greatly appreciated!
WAAG
In response to parent feedback we have opted to only send email notifications regarding Week at a Glance rather than sending both email and text notifications. Our WAAG is also posted to Facebook, Instagram, and on our school website.
New Messaging System
We have moved to a new messaging system. We are currently working through a few kinks, and are currently unable to send text messages. Therefore, all communication will be sent via email. We are working to resolve these issues. Thank you for your understanding.
Alberta Transportation Regulations
For safety reasons, our bus drivers cannot transport items related to extracurricular activities such as sports equipment, musical instruments, and large projects on school buses. Students attempting to bring these items on the bus will be denied service and sent home with the item. This also includes items like skateboards, badminton rackets, and similar objects.

SAVE THE DATE!
October 28th is our next General School Council meeting and Budget Meeting. Please consider attending. We would love to have you.
5:30 General Meeting
6:30 Budget Meeting (Following directly after the GM).
VOLUNTEERS!
Our Volunteer Coordinator is actively recruiting people for our Volunteer List(s). We are not able to run our events for the kiddos without your help. Please consider putting your name on "the list" to be called on for opportunities to help. We will need volunteers for our upcoming Hot Lunch program as well as other exciting community events hosted throughout the year. Adding your name and contact information as a volunteer will allow you to keep in the know about upcoming events, allow an opportunity for your input into upcoming events, and of course the opportunity to serve our community! You are welcome to opt out at any time, nor are you obligated to help with every event - just the ones you are able to and passionate about! Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Connie at eolrschoolcouncilvolunteer@gmail.com if you might like to volunteer at some point over the school year. Thank-you!!
HOTLUNCH!
Our School Council is excited to announce that our Hot Lunch program is up and running again this year for staff and students. We will be utilizing Power School this year to order lunches each month. This is an optional program and not a required cost to families. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for our program please reach out to eolrshotlunches@gmail.com or eolrschoolcouncilvolunteer@gmail.com.
To order, please:
1. Log In to PowerSchool: rdcrs.powerschool.com.
2. Click on "School Fees and Form", on the left side menu.
3. Click on your Child's name and Hot Lunch (must be done for each individual child).
4. Add your lunch(es) to your cart and don't forget to check out!
Orders close November 4th. PLEASE NOTE: No modifications, cancellations, or late orders can be accepted. If your child is going to be absent on hot lunch day, please make arrangements with the office PRIOR to 11:00 AM to pick-up your child's lunch. Lunches ordered by mistake or missed due to being absent will be donated to another child at the school. NOTE FOR KINDERS AND PREK: Please check your child's schedule of attendance and order lunch accordingly. Some hotlunches may be provided on days that your child is not scheduled to attend school!
