Dear East Fallowfield Families,

As we move into colder weather, we are implementing a revised recess schedule to ensure students’ safety and well-being while allowing them to enjoy outdoor activity when possible.

Here is the updated recess schedule based on temperature and wind chill. We will be using the "Feels Like" Temperature when making these decisions.

• 28°F and above: Full outdoor recess as usual.
• 22°F to 27°F: Shortened outdoor recess (10-15 minutes).
• 21°F and below: Indoor recess only.

Please remind students to dress appropriately for the weather, including coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. For families needing assistance with winter gear, feel free to reach out to Mr. Lyons at lyonsj@casdschools.org or call 610-383-3765.

Last week, East Fallowfield held our building spelling bee and our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students did an amazing job! We are so proud of all our participants. Special congratulations to our winners:

3rd grade: Autumn Allen (1st place), Rachel Clippinger (2nd place), Charlotte Steinbach (alternate)

4th grade: Alexander Hanson Hart (1st place), Sophie Walker, (2nd place), Jayceon Navarro (alternate)

5th grade: Malachi Day (1st place), Josiah Reason (2nd place), Douglas Maxwell (alternate)

We also want to give a special thank you to our judges for their time and support. Last but not least, a special thank you to our reading specialists, Mrs. DiSands and Mrs. Bonnette for organizing this event.

On Saturday, December 7th, our East Fallowfield Elementary Chorus performed at the East Fallowfield Township Tree Lighting. Thank you to our choral director and music teacher, Mrs. April Mullen who helped prepare our students for the event. A special thank you to our art teacher, Ms. Willgruber for her help in leading our students to create ornament masterpieces! We are so grateful for the continued partnership we have with the township! Happy Holidays!

Special congratulations to the following students for leveling up on Rosetta Stone! Not pictured but also leveled up are Eder Ramirez, Edith Romero, Aaron Gaspar and Rogelio Sotelo-Hernandez. We are so proud of all of you! Keep up the great work!

East Fallowfield PTO is proud to support our annual Angel Tree event. We are happy to announce that all of our families have been adopted! Thank you so much for all of your support in bringing cheer during this holiday season.

Donations can be dropped off at East Fallowfield throughout the week from December 9th-13th. We are offering a drop off on Friday, December 13th.

Drop off: Anytime in the office from December 9th-13th

Additional Drop off: after school on December 13th from 4:00-6:00 pm

Art to Remember orders will arrive by 11/29 if you have already placed an order. If you haven't yet ordered and would like to do so, you're still welcome to order any time or upload artwork to then purchase until 12/31. The Home Access online registration is now showing our district database as an option. This feature allows new families in our district to register for Home Access and create their own username, password, and security questions. Please be sure to choose our district from the drop-down menu on the initial registration screen.
