Kudos to Character Counts! Winners
The Board recognized 11 District 30 students for winning the recent Glenview Character Counts! 2022-23 Art & Video Contest. Review of Math Summer Curriculum Project
Teams of teachers from Willowbrook, Wescott and Maple Schools representing three summer math projects – K-5 math, 6-8 math, and 6-8 special education – came together to share their work with the Board. The group highlighted our curriculum, our scope and sequence and articulation efforts, the individualized iReady program, and the active learning environment for our students.
Although there were three separate projects, all of the summer curriculum teams focused and shared the implementation goal of standards aligned curriculum utilizing best practice routines in mathematics K-8. Collaboration with colleagues from kindergarten to 8th grade, including learning specialists, continues to support all students in an appropriately challenging mathematics learning trajectory in District 30.
This informative presentation shows the work our mathematics staff is doing to create dynamic and effective learning for our students and for committing to deepening our collective efficacy!
As part of the District 30 Mathematics Staff's Review of summer math curriculum, the teachers included a live math demonstration. (Teachers pictured clockwise, L-R: Mrs. Jackie Ruf; Mrs. Kery Obradovich, Ms. Ashley Grosshuesch, Mrs. Erin Janick)
