ICIC Book Study

Over the next few months, we will be doing our first book study on "Student-Centered Coaching" by Diane Sweeney, who is our featured guest for this year's ICIC conference!

Book Description: Student-Centered Coaching is grounded on the premise that school-based coaching can be designed to directly impact student learning. Shifting the focus from “fixing” teachers to collaborating with them in designing instruction that targets for student achievement makes coaching more respectful and results-based. The book also underscores the critical role of the principal in fostering a culture of learning. Each chapter includes:

• A model for designing and implementing student-centered coaching
• Data-driven coaching tools and techniques focused on student learning
• Specific practices for leading a student-centered coaching effort

We did our best to vary the days of the week as much as possible, and to give you at least a week to week and a half to read a chapter! All Twitter Chats and Google + Sharing will take place from 8pm-9pm.
