
Global Dialogue Workshop

FREE Workshop for 6-12th Grade Educators
You are invited to join our 2-day summer workshop to learn about the essentials of dialogue and how to empower your middle and high school students to communicate with international peers about global issues through videoconferencing and blogging. We will introduce you to Generation Global and global competence (California International Studies Project) so you can engage your students in meaningful lessons about significant topics while developing literacy skills. This program is sponsored by the International Studies Teacher Education Project (ISTEP) at San Diego State University in partnership with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Please share with colleagues!
- Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet
- Coffee, refreshments, and lunch will be provided
- Participants will receive classroom resources and access to online program
- ISTEP Teacher Leaders will share their experiences and facilitate workshop activities
- This is an interdisciplinary program with support for academic literacy development
- Follow-up support will be available during the school year for program implementation and more professional learning
