Superintendent Search

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education has contracted with The COSCA Group to assist in the advertising, search, and recruitment of a new superintendent. The COSCA Group is a premier search firm dedicated to identifying and developing outstanding school district leaders. Associates Ms. Debra French and Mr. Kirk Bauermeister are working closely with the Board of Education and Executive Cabinet to manage the search process and timeline. The goal is to welcome a new superintendent by September 2025.

As the Board looks ahead to this important leadership transition, it remains committed to ensuring broad community input. Individuals who were unable to attend a recent in-person stakeholder town hall are invited to participate in a brief survey to share their perspectives. The survey seeks input on both the current state of the District and the desired qualities and characteristics in the next superintendent.

All stakeholders are encouraged to complete the survey by Thursday, July 3. The survey requires only a few minutes to complete, and stakeholder feedback will play a valuable role in informing the Board’s decision-making.

Please note that all survey responses will remain anonymous. The COSCA Group requests honest, thoughtful input from participants and asks that each individual submit only one response. Survey results will be aggregated by stakeholder group and presented to the Board of Education during a public meeting.
