CAFETERIA
We'd love to have you help out during lunch
As the weather starts to change, some of our students would rather stay inside. In order to accommodate students who want to stay inside and others that would like to go outside, we will need to have three adults present for safety. Please consider helping out.
Thank you so much to those who have been able to volunteer and help out in the lunchroom. It is such a blessing to have dedicated family members who are willing to help out!
A Note from the Cafeteria
Lunch order for the week of 6/17 is due on Monday, 6/10 by noon.
All students will be enjoying a hot dog picnic lunch on Tuesday 6/18. If your child doesn't want a grilled Sahlen's Hot Dog, please send in a lunch.

2024-25 School Year Lunches
As you all know, next year our school lunch program will no longer be provided by Buffalo Public Schools. This has been a great program providing free breakfast and lunch for our students, but they will no longer be servicing and of the non-public schools outside of the city of Buffalo. We are working diligently to create a lunch program for St. Mary's that will replace what we have had but not be cost prohibitive for our families. More information will be sent home in our end of year packets.
Athletic Committee
Mr. Reeds and Mrs. D'Angelo are looking for parents who would be interested in forming an Athletic Committee. The purpose of this committee is to support the sports program at SMS and assist Mr. Reeds in procuring coaches, scheduling, and expanding our program. If you are interested, please email Mrs. D'Angelo at prinipal@stmaryschoolswormville.org. We will be holding our first meeting in July.
Sprucing Up the Cafeteria
At this year's auction the raise the paddle was to purchase new chairs and round tables for the cafeteria. We got about halfway to our goal so if you are interested in donating directly to a project, please consider donating to this refurbishment.
On the evening of June 26th, we will be painting the Cafeteria. Many hands make light work and we are looking for parents who are able to help Mr. Don and Mr. John out. We will supply the pizza, we only need you to be there to assist. If you can help out, please contact me at principal@stmaryschoolswormville.org.
Summer Office Hours
Summer Office Hours will begin on June 24th. The school office will be open from 8am-2pm Tuesday-Thursday. Regular office hours will resume at the end of August. We may be in the school at other times but may not be available to answer the door as there are many tasks throughout the building that need attention over the summer.

CALL TO ACTION
A new bill has been proposed that would impose non-discrimination mandates on our schools related to gender identity and expression (see below for a full explanation). We are asking that you participate in the email advocacy campaign (it only takes a few minutes to send a pre-written email to your legislators) and then encourage your entire school community to participate – Board Members, teachers, staff, and parents. Here is the link to this advocacy effort:
