Attention Bus Riders!!!!
For questions about which bus(es) your child will ride, please go here and enter your child's grade level and street address. The login for ELink is catoosa and the password is transportation. If your child is a new bus rider, please click New Bus Rider Request to fill out a new rider request form.
Weekly Information!
*Doors open at 7am.
*After the first week parents will be required to drop off in the car rider line. This is a Catoosa County Safety Policy that all primary/elementary schools follow.
*Starting Monday (8/19) students will either walk to the cafeteria (7:00am- 7:30am) or their grade level hallway (7:30am-7:50am).
*We always have helpers to assist students in getting to class or the cafeteria.
*If you would like to eat breakfast (after the first week), ID will be required to enter the building and you must sign-in at front office. Your visitor sticker allows you entrance to the cafeteria only, after you eat please let your child to walk to class alone, sign out at the front office, and exit the building. This is for safety purposes. It is important that I know who is in the building and where they are.
*Our bus entrance will only be used for buses and preschool drop off, all other car riders will need to enter and be dropped off through the main car rider line.
*Class time and attendance are important this year our bell will ring at 7:45 and instruction will start at 7:50. It is important that your student arrives on time so they aren't missing any key instruction.
*Dismissal and arrival will take longer the first couple of weeks, but I promise it does get better!
Safety
At RPS, our number one priority will always be the safety of students and staff. Some of the procedures may seem inconvenient, but they are necessary and we hope that you will understand and be patient with us.
- If you would like to enter RPS, you must bring your ID.
- Parents are required to drop students off in the car rider line instead of walking students to class. No visitors will be allowed in hallways during arrival.
- If you would like to eat breakfast with your child, please bring your ID and sign in at the front office for a visitor's pass. This pass will allow you entrance to the cafeteria only. Once you eat with your child, please sign out at the front office. Your child will walk to class by themselves (we have monitors on duty to assist).
- All exterior doors remained locked throughout the day and we use a buzz in system for visitors.
- Classroom doors also remain locked.

From the Nurse's Clinic:
REMINDER that all treats (cupcakes, etc) that are sent into school for parties and celebrations must be labeled with the list of ingredients. This is for safety purposes as we have many students with various food allergies. Thanks for your support.
Guidelines for sending a child back to school following an illness:
A fever is considered a temperature of 100.4 or higher.
If a child has been sick with fever, vomiting or diarrhea they should NOT return to school until they have been fever free, no vomiting or diarrhea for a 24 hour period without the use of any medications.
CCPS Medication Policy:
"All medications must be brought to the school office, in the original pharmaceutical container clearly labeled as to the name of the student, name of the medication, the appropriate dosage, and time for each dosage. A parent, legal guardian, or designated adult is responsible for transporting medications to and from school. A medication authorization form must be signed by the parent or guardian, and on file in the school office. A medication log will be kept by the school which indicates dates, times, personnel administering medication. Medications will be kept secure at all times, administered and monitored, in the presence of school personnel."
