SFHS Arrowhead Newsletter
The School Week of September 3rd - 6th
E-PASS Parent Letter
This week, we began the use of E-PASS, our electronic hall pass system. We will have learning curves as we navigate this on campus, but ultimately, it will lead to quick hall passes and safe monitoring of our students.
Tardys have begun
- If a student is not in class at the time of the bell ringing, they are considered tardy.
- Music plays in the hallways between each passing period, when the music turns off, this signals to students that they have ONE minute to make it to class.
- Tardy consequences will be distributed from Mrs. Erin Withers, our attendance improvement specialist.
- If you have questions regarding your student's attendance/tardy record, please contact our attendance data specialist, Mrs. Renea Bickerstaff at Susan.Bickerstaff@sfisd.org
Attendance Excuse Notes
If your student is out, please send a note to school upon their return. Even if it's for a partial day or attending a doctor's appointment, please send a note to school for their absence. We keep these notes on file for attendance appeals and audits.
Submit your notes electronically

Ford - Drive for your school event
🚗✨ Get behind the wheel and give back to your community! Come out to Santa Fe High School to test drive a Ford on Friday, September 13 (9a-5p) and Ford will donate $20 on your behalf. Just one drive per household, complete a survey post-ride, and voila – you've made a difference! Open to anyone 18+ with valid driver’s license and insurance. Let's drive for change together!
📲Register here: https://d4urs.com/KQ46Y
- 18 year old students will be permitted to participate.
- However, they must do so during an elective period, not a core class (English, social studies, science, math).
- They will sign out in the front, attend the drive event, and provide proof of registering for the event and survey completion when they reenter the building to excuse their absence.

SFHS is Cell Phone Free
- Students are not permitted to use their cell phone while in the classroom, in the hallways, or in the restroom.
- Students found to be on their cell phone will have their phone confiscated and sent to the Student Center to be picked up at the end of the day. Repeat offenses will result in campus consequences.
- Students are permitted to use their phones before school, during their assigned lunch, and after school.
Please read the full SFISD cell phone policy by opening the attachment below.
Parking Permits
The cost increases to $30.00 on September 3rd., unless the student is a newly licensed driver. When the permit is issued, students must present proof of a valid driver’s license and proof of financial responsibility (liability insurance).
It is the student driver’s responsibility to register his/her vehicle and display a valid parking permit for the current school year. Vehicles parked without a valid student parking permit may be towed at the owner’s expense.
