GSFE Greatness - 5th Grade Trip to HGTC
This week was filled with wonderful moments. Our fifth graders had an exciting visit to Horry Georgetown Technical College. During this trip, students explored various majors and career paths, gaining valuable insights into their future possibilities. Please encourage your child to reflect on what they learned during this visit, as it can spark conversations about their interests and aspirations.
We are proud of their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored future career opportunities.

PE Spotlight with Mr. Schutte
Quarter One Recap: Building Fundamental Skills
We had an amazing first quarter, with students diving into the fundamentals of throwing, catching, and teamwork. Along with developing physical skills, we incorporated a variety of games that fostered leadership and social skills. It’s been wonderful to see the kids grow in confidence, teamwork, and athletic abilities!
Quarter Two: Spotlight on Sports
As we kick off quarter two, we’re shifting our focus to sports! We’ll start with a four-week unit on basketball, where students will learn and practice essential skills, including dribbling, passing, and shooting. Along the way, we’ll mix in fun games to reinforce these fundamentals and keep our young athletes engaged.
Upcoming: Bowling to Wrap Up the Quarter
After Thanksgiving, we’ll transition from the basketball court to the bowling alley! Bowling will offer students a chance to work on coordination, control, and focus as we close out the quarter with this fun new challenge.
Thank you for your continued support, and we’re excited to keep building skills and having fun together!
