PTO NEWS & NOTES
Save the Date!
Our next General PTO meeting will take place on Thursday, March 9 at 9:30 am. The PTO is excited to bring Matt Tudor, E.H. Greene School Principal, Marilee Tanner, E.H. Greene School Assistant Principal, and Tracey Bachmann, E.H. Greene School Counselor to discuss the transition to middle school. Parents with children of all ages are encouraged to attend, learn about their child's future, and ask questions.
Box Tops Collection
Thank you to every student and parent who clipped, taped, bagged, and sent in those Box Tops. We collected 5,441 Box Tops!!! That means $544.10 for Montgomery Elementary! A special thank you to Mrs. Csendes's 3rd grade class and Mr. Schwamberger's 4th grade class - they collected the most snowballs and will each receive a popcorn and hot cocoa party. Mr. Shaver's 3rd grade class got hit with the most snowballs, so they too will receive a popcorn and hot cocoa party. Thank you again for another successful year of capturing those Box Tops from the garbage and turning them into dollars for Montgomery Elementary!
Muffin Fun with Your #1
Save the date! Muffin Morning is returning to Montgomery Elementary on March 7 (last names A-K) and March 8 (last names L-Z) from 8:30 am - 9:10 am. Look for details in next week's newsletter and Thursday folders.
College Spirit Wear Drive
The PTO is collecting kid-sized college spirit wear for our sister school, Winton Hills Academy, which serves elementary-aged children in the largest low-income neighborhood in Cincinnati. The goal is to outfit all the students with college spirit wear in order to increase their familiarity with and interest in higher education; the teachers will use the spirit wear as a jumping-off point to talk about college and its benefits. Please send gently used t-shirts and sweatshirts with college logos on them to school with your students and ask them to place the items under the front stairs. Children's size 5T thru size 12 are especially needed. The collection ends March 3rd.
