The new school year starts on Tuesday, August 13th. Mondays are traditionally Collaboration Days; days that end early so staff can attend meetings and collaborate.
The first day of school, however, is a Minimum Day - a shorter day for acquaint students with their schedules and the campus. Click HERE to see all of Valhalla's Bell Schedules as well as important dates for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
Schedule Solution Days
Schedules will go LIVE in Student Portal on August 5th at 4:00pm.
Counselors will be hosting Schedule Solution Days on Tuesday, August 6th and Wednesday, August 7th. If students see any issues or want to make a schedule change request (not a guarantee), they can attend their grade level's designated time to speak with a counselor. Please note: we cannot guarantee changes, but we are happy to speak with you to look at possible options.
Freshman Orientation
The Class of 2028 is invited to Freshman Orientation on Monday, August 12th. This event is hosted by the Valhalla Norsecrew and starts at 7:55am in the Thunderdome! Students should wear comfortable clothing, bring water (if desired). Please do not bring any backpacks or personal items. Students can be picked up after 12pm.
Students must complete Athletic Clearance to participate in Fall Sports
All CIF athletes, cheerleaders, marching band and color guard members must complete the Athletic Clearance process for the 2024-2025 school year. This requires:
- Creating an account on AthleticClearance.com and entering info for the current season. The confirmation page must be printed and signed by the student and parent/guardian.
- Having a current (no more than 1-year old) Athletic Physical signed by a physician. Athletic Physician's Physical form
A copy of the above signed documents (clearance confirmation and physical form) must be presented to the FINANCE OFFICE to receive a Clearance Certificate. This must be done BEFORE students are allowed to participate/tryout.

Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are not to be used in classrooms, restrooms, or school offices unless explicitly allowed by a staff member during the school day.
Students violating the cell phone policy will have their devices confiscated and turned into the office. Devices will be returned to students at the end of the day.
Attendance Policy
Learning requires daily attendance. All absences from school must be reported to the Attendance Office within 72 hours. Students without an excuse will be marked truant and will not be allowed to make up missed work.

To communicate high expectations and motivate students to learn by providing lessons which are rigorous and engaging.
To enforce rules equitably and involve students in creating a safe and supportive learning environment in class.
To communicate regularly with parents about student progress by utilizing Infinite Campus’s grading features and other means of communication.
To respect the school, staff, students, and families and demonstrate and model good character.
