Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to invite you to our Curriculum Nights this week.
Lower Campus: Tuesday, August 27, from 6pm.
Upper Campus: Thursday, August 29, from 6pm (refer to UC schedule below).
Curriculum Night is an invaluable chance to gain insights into your child's educational journey. It provides the opportunity for you to meet your child’s teachers and learn about the grade-level curriculum and classroom expectations for the upcoming academic year.
Curriculum Night is an adults-only event. Students and siblings should not attend. Please refer to the scheduling details below for your specific campus.

5:50pm - 6:05pm: Arrival
6:10pm - 6:35pm: Welcome; Introductions; Announcements (in the Village Plaza)
6:45pm - 7:10pm: Session 1 (in classrooms)
7:15pm - 7:40pm: Session 2 (in classrooms and in Village Plaza)
7:45pm: Departure
What the schedule means for you
Parent/guardian of a child with LC student(s) in just ONE grade level
Attend the welcome session in the Village Plaza (6:10pm - 6:35pm)
Attend the session in your child’s classroom (6:45pm - 7:10pm)
Attend the session in the Village Plaza, where you’ll hear from the following departments: Connections, Library, ESOL, EIP, Gifted, and Special Education (7:15pm - 7:40pm)
Departure (7:45pm)
Parent/guardian of a child with LC students in TWO grade levels
Attend the welcome session in the Village Plaza (6:10pm - 6:35pm)
Attend the session in one child’s grade level (6:45pm - 7:10pm)
Attend the session in your other child’s grade level (7:15pm - 7:40pm)
Departure (7:45pm)
Additional Notes
Your child’s lead language teacher and lead English teacher are presenting together in one of their classrooms.
Classroom sessions will not be recorded. However, the slide decks teachers use will be linked in this Friday’s classroom newsletters.
Both classroom sessions are IDENTICAL. If your GLOBE relationship is only with one grade level, we invite you to the Village Plaza for session 2.
The collaborative session in the Village Plaza at 7:15pm will be recorded; the links to those recordings will be placed on our website. You’ll hear from the following:

Upper Campus Curriculum Night
Thursday, August 29
6:00pm: 4th and 5th grade families
6:40pm: Middle School families
Parking at Upper Campus
Please plan to park in the UC parking lot for Curriculum Night. If spaces are not available, you may park at Shallowford Presbyterian Church, located at 2375 Shallowford Rd, Atlanta, GA 30345. If you are parking in the church lot, please park on the side closest to the school, and Shallowford Road.
4th and 5th Grade Families - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Start in the auditorium and then move to the classrooms to meet with both teachers.
Classroom teachers will provide two sessions for families who have students in other grades.
6th, 7th and 8th Grade Families - 6:40pm - 8:00pm
Everyone will begin in the auditorium, then:
6th grade will stay in auditorium for their grade-level presentation
7th grade will move to the cafeteria for their grade-level presentation
8th grade will move to the gymnasium for their grade-level presentation
Athletics presentation in the UC Cafeteria - 8:05pm to 8:20pm
