Body, Blessing, Healing, and Light:

A 13th Century Dominican Prayer

May God the Father bless us.

May God the Son heal us.

May God the Holy Spirit enlighten us,

and give us

eyes to see with,

ears to hear with,

hands to do the work of God with,

feet to walk with,

a mouth to preach the word of salvation with,

and the angel of peace to watch over us and lead us at last,

by our Lord's gift, to the Kingdom.

Hi Everyone,

This has been a big beautiful week. Photos will attest to this!

The above prayer seems appropriate, as next week the Dominican Sisters also celebrate 125 years in Western Australia. As a Dominican school this is significant. The formation of Holy Rosary School in 1959 was part of their plan as a teaching order. The sisters have planned a mass to celebrate this 125th anniversary for 10.30am this coming Wednesday August 7. If you or others you know might like to join in and celebrate with them, you will be very welcome.

Just a reminder that, unless children are engaged in sports training, that the playgrounds - including Kindy and Pre-Primary - are closed before and after school. Thank you for your support.

100 Days of School

The Year One’s celebrated 100 days of school on Wednesday with lots of fun challenges and activities. They don’t look a day over 99 if you ask us!

Whole School Numeracy Immersion

🏅🎉 On Monday we had an amazing time at our Whole School Numeracy Immersion Morning! 📐🏃‍♂️ Our Olympic-themed event saw students diving into fun and engaging activities, all while practicing their mathematical skills. From solving equations to racing through math challenges, everyone gave their best effort and had a blast! 🥇📊✨

ICAS 2024

Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 are welcome to enrol in the 2024 ICAS Assessments in the areas of English, Maths and Science. All information relating to these assessments can be found in the below document. Please note the dates for the assessments are as follows:

Armed for Life

🌟 Last week, our Year 5 and 6 students had an incredible Well-Being Day with Armed for Life! They learned all about friendships, teamwork, resilience, screen use, and so much more. It was a day full of growth and connection! 💪💖

Scholastic Book Club Orders

Scholastic Book Club orders close on Saturday 3rd August 2024. The children will be bringing home their catalogues this week.

Happy St Dominic’s Day! The Olympics have been on in the library, and everyone has enjoyed watching, even on mute! Junior Chess has started with a bang! 74 students from Year One, Two and Three will play over 5 lunchtimes until Week Five. Round two will start in Week Six. Names and games are on the library whiteboard. Numero for Years Three - Six is back in action from 7.45am on Fridays. Year Five Book Clubbers are halfway through and loving their book!
