Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! The first day started out in a non-traditional way with our very first Orientation Day. Students and families flooded the building to meet staff, organize school supplies, and check out the new facilities. We are fortunate to have the new wing and playground open. It is beautiful! Thank you to all families who attended. We had a great turnout!

Our Student Council organized first day of school activities. Students participated in Olympic activities, toured the new wing & wellness center, and explored the new playground. They rounded out the morning with a pickle ball tournament.

We have a no cell phone policy for the 24-25 school year. Elementary students will keep their devices in their backpacks, including any device that is connected to a phone. Middle and High School students can either keep their phone/devices at home, leave them in their car, or keep them in a secure box at school. Students will have a key for their box. Technology, including smart watches and earbuds, will be placed in their box at the beginning of the day and can be removed when they are leaving the building for the day. If your student needs a key for their box, they should find Mrs. Mohr. Thank you for your cooperation with this initiative.

We have two microwaves for student use in our cafeteria.

• send items in microwave safe containers
• students should be able to use the microwave independently

• talk with young students about how long they should be microwaving their dish
• students will be expected to finish their meal in the allotted time period

The SD Legistlature is now accepting applications for junior and senior high school students to serve as pages during the upcoming 2025 Legislative Session. Application deadline is Friday, October 4th. Stop in the office if you’d like an application.
