Principle Message
Second Week of Advent
As we light the second candle of Advent this Sunday, we contemplate the theme of peace. Peace, a divine gift from God, beckons us to embrace tranquility, harmony, and serenity in our lives. Jesus Christ is called the Prince of Peace. This week, let us seek to embody His message of peace, let us cultivate peace in our hearts, fostering love and reconciliation within our families and communities and the world. The world needs peace. May this Advent season be a time of peace, filling our lives with the comforting presence of God's love.

Season of Advent - Food Bank Fundraiser
Dear Parents,
During this Season of Advent, all students are asked to bring in a Food Bank item(s) that will be donated to Strathcona Foodbank.
Each class is being asked to bring in specific items of some of the most highly needed items. (see list above) Our goal is to raise at least 364 items, that's only one item per student. Together we can Light Our World!!!
Next week, December 11 to 17, 2023, your child will be able to drop off their food bank item(s) into their house bin located by the front office.
We are very thankful to those who are able to participate during this Season of Advent.
We also recognize that times are difficult for many of our families, but if you are able to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated. Many of these items can be purchased at discount stores such as Dollar Tree and Dollarama (who carry many name brand products) or if you shop at Save-On also remember to bring in your receipts for our School Council.
Thank you for your generous donations.
God Bless.

Student Safety
Dear Parents,
The safety of our students is our number one priority.
Please remember when dropping off or picking up your child(ren) from school to park in a safe area and allow your child to walk to the crosswalk(s). For the safety of all students and staff, please refrain from stopping in the middle of the school cross walks. Should this continue to be a problem, we will be forced to contact the Bylaw officers.
Thank you for your attention and co-operation regarding this matter.

Dear Parents,
Please remind your child(ren) to look through the Lost & Found for any of their items that they may have misplaced.
