Winter Athletics Registration Now Open
Winter athletics registration opens Monday, October 7th! Please read through all of the attached information carefully. There is now a checklist to follow to ensure that all steps are completed. The deadline for all paperwork and payments is November 11, 2024. If your physical date falls after the deadline, we can not guarantee that your student will be cleared in time to participate.
LINK TO PARENT GENESIS PORTAL: https://parents.c1.genesisedu.net/krsd
You will also find the step by step guide to register through our Genesis parent portal.
High School Winter Tryouts are scheduled to begin on or around November 25, 2024.
Middle School Winter Tryouts are set to begin on or around December 2, 2024
Starting this school year, we integrated a new Genesis payment system. Please read the attached instructions on how to make a payment. Fees will show in your Genesis parent portal 24-48 hours after registration. If you register over the weekend, your fee will show that following Monday morning.
We hope your student's participation will provide them with a very positive and rewarding experience. Kingsway Regional School District policy #2436 requires all students to pay an athletic participation registration fee. The fee for a single participant, per season, is $100. If you have multiple children participating throughout the school year, the family limit shall not exceed $500. The participation fee is waived for students who are eligible for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Students who have not paid their participation fee and/or owe an obligation/lunch balance will not be permitted to try out.
Please understand that this fee does not guarantee participation time in games or ensure specific positions on a team. Those decisions will remain with the coaching staff. Students who become ineligible for academic, behavioral, attendance issues, or leave on their own accord will not receive a refund. Please settle any outstanding student obligations before the start of the season (cafeteria fees, uniforms, books, etc.). Any student that is not selected for a team roster will receive a refund to their original form of payment. Refunds will not be issued until all winter rosters are finalized.
If you have any questions regarding the required paperwork, please contact me at tartagliones@krsd.us
Thank you,

Room assignments will be posted outside the school counseling office and emailed to students before the test.

What is Anonymous Alerts?
Anonymous Alerts allows students, parents, and other school personnel to anonymously submit any sensitive or urgent student issues quickly to school officials. Students, parents, and school personnel can submit reports such as bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, hazing, drug or alcohol use during school, vaping during school, threats against the school, and more. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.

SMART - Have a Purpose and Plan
Each day, we communicate to students that they must have a plan for SMART Lunch (both L1 and L2). Students have access to a SMART Weekly Schedule in order to help them plan. Students are expected to be in a location for both L1 and L2. The graphic provides the letter days that academic departments are available during SMART. Please speak with your child/children about having a plan for SMART.
Here is the SMART Weekly calendar that students are sent each week. This will help students/parents to know what clubs/activities are meeting each week as well as what teachers are available during L1 or L2.

All students are expected to attend every class, every day prepared with a fully charged, district-issued Chromebook with the charging cord.
