This will be the only pre-auction sale offered! DataForce's orphan auction begins May 10, and that date is the renewal deadline as well.
DataForce's Referral Program
Got a friend to share your hobby with?
DataForce offers two separate referral programs. One is available all the time, while the other runs only during promotional periods. You should know about both!
- The first option is to simply share your personal referral number with all your friends. You'll find this number just under your balances on your My Account page. When your friend creates an account at DataForce, they can record your referral number, and when they make their first money deposit, you'll be credited $12 in bonus money!
- The second option is even more lucrative, when it's available! You can choose how to divide up $24 in bonus money between you and your friend, when they make their first deposit. Check out our referral program, running now! You can find it under the Lobby menu bar button on the Administrative hub.
Sending Paper Checks
DataForce is one of the few fantasy football sites that still offers the option of paying by mail, with a paper check. There is no deposit cost for this method, so it's a great way to fund your account.
When you mail a check to us, please write to dataforceff@gmail.com and tell us the check number, account number, and dollar amount. We'll go ahead and post it to your account immediately, so it's available for use.
Paper checks should be mailed to:

The Newbie Corner: Preparing For Your Draft
With the NFL draft beginning today, it's time to get serious about your own fantasy football draft. Here's what you need to know:
- First, if you joined a new league in the lobby, be aware that there's not a lot you can do to prepare until your league fills. Just make sure that you've paid for it, so it doesn't fill and lock without you.
Once it fills, your draft position will be assigned immediately and automatically and it's completely random. You'll receive an email from DataForce that your league is full. Please take a minute to check in by clicking the button in the email, so that we know you're ready to draft. - You can, if you wish, prepare a personal draft list at the Draft->MyDraftList page. We'll cover this topic in more detail in a later newsletter, but for now, understand that you have only one list for all your leagues. They all share the same draft list.
It's set up this way on purpose, so that if you have several drafts running at once, you don't have to maintain several lists. However, the drawback is that you can't have multiple lists for multiple league types. - The draft itself takes place at Draft->DraftPage on your Team Manager hub. Here is where you will make all your picks for an email (slow) draft, or open the draft room for live drafts. There are two sections on your page that are worth discussing, and you may want to place a few strategic players in these boxes before your draft begins, and then keep updating them as it continues.
Pre-Draft List: This box is for players that you are ready to draft now. This option works differently for email drafts and live drafts:
For emails drafts, pre-drafting is a courtesy that helps move the draft along. Simply drop players into this box that you want automatically drafted when your turn comes. The software will draft whoever is on the top of the list when it's your turn, so that nobody has to wait on you to make your selection.
When participating in live drafts, it works a little differently. The player at the top of the list will not be drafted automatically when your turn arrives. Instead, only when you run out of time will the player on the top of the list be selected. It is a very good idea to always have one or two players in your predraft-box during live drafts, in case you accidentally disconnect!
Watch List: Put player here that you just want to keep an eye on. They won't be automatically drafted. Examples include sleeper picks, handcuffs, or just anybody that you're not ready to draft yet but don't want to miss out on.
That'll do it for this edition! Thank you so much for making DataForce your choice for fantasy football.
