Back to School Week kicks off!
Open House Forms due back to Magnet Office by Friday, August 9th
All Magnet families and students are requested to review the posted Family-Student Handbook online at Parent Handbook - Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (rockdaleschools.org) before signing and returning your Open House forms by Friday, August 9th.
Tomorrow is the last day to submit Schedule Change Requests
All Schedule Change Requests must be submitted by tomorrow Friday, August 1st to be considered. Class schedules can be viewed in Infinite Campus. If you have an error on your schedule (i.e.: a graduation requirement course that is missing, or a class on your schedule where you have already earned credit previously), then please submit our online Schedule Change Request form at this link for the counselors and administrative team to review your request.

Magnet Fund dues are $220 per student. For families who have multiple students, additional students are $120. Dues are requested to be paid at Open House or by August 9th. A late fee will apply to accounts that are not paid by September 30th.
Rockdale Magnet Fund Inc. is the 501c3 non-profit academic booster club that supports all students at Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology.
Note that the member-elected Board of Directors voted to keep dues the same this year even with rising costs for the many benefits they provide to every student. Annual dues account for 20% of the anticipated income needed. Your support with the planned fundraisers including Monster Dash and a popcorn sale each semester is appreciated.

Tickets can be purchased at this link. Tickets are required (at a low fee of $5 per meal) to ensure that we have enough food for everyone. Students will be allowed to stay after school with adult family members joining in on the fun as they are able after work or home responsibilities anytime between 3:15-7pm.

Our first fundraiser of the 2024-2025 school year will be a Double Good Gourmet popcorn sale kicking off Friday, August 16th at 5pm and running through Tuesday, August 20th at 5pm.
Since this fundraiser is 100% contactless, 100% online (no orders to take, no product to distribute, no money to collect) you may sell this delicious, flavored gourmet popcorn to ALL of your family, friends, and associates all over the country through text, email, or any of your social media platforms (Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.)
So, just download the Double Good app onto your iOS or Android device (https://www.doublegood.com) and you'll be ready to add our join code the week of the event and set up your popup store.
Seniors: Submit your junior year research project to the Regeneron Science Talent search!
The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is the nation's oldest science research competition for high school seniors. We're seeking the next generation of leaders in STEM - and giving $3.1 million in awards.
Applicants and supportive adults are encouraged to attend the STS webinar events - sign up here to join the first session on Wednesday, July 17 at 8pm ET they discuss eligibility questions and share favorite rules tips.
