Caldwell Elementary
Staff members at Caldwell had an eventful November! This month they participated in an underground spirit week and fellowshipped at their annual Friendsgiving potluck. Staff members also got to save time in their busy schedules and were able to shop during their break at school for a Stop & Shop event to support small businesses.
Caldwell music teacher, Mrs. Hill, along with the 3rd grade teachers organized a Veterans Day Program and invited families and veterans to join. After the musical, the VIP guests enjoyed coffee and cookies while they socialized with other veterans and friends.
Caldwell's PTO purchased a Gaga Ball Pit for the playground, and it has been a true hit!!!
Howard Perrin
During the month of November, Howard Perrin Elementary hosted the 4th grade Patriotic Pageant and the Kindergarten Feast. Mr. Kotarek's production was a tribute to America's history and Founding Fathers. The Kindergarten Feast is a long running tradition at HP. Kindergarten students sing songs about the first Thanksgiving. They chose to be a Native American or a pilgrim. They finished the event by eating different foods like crackers to represent the bread, beef jerky to represent the meats, popcorn to represent the corn, and Goldfish to represent the fish at the first feast.
Ringgold Elementary
Former Ringgoldian, Ally Shellnut, assisted in November's Golden Ticket Assembly. She is a published illustrator!! She shared inspiration with our student artists. We are so proud of this former Ringgold student who still has art hanging in our hall. She and her twin sister created this peacock picture at 9 years old!
She is pictured here with her 3rd grade teacher, Mrs Newman, and with her mom, who also worked here as a secretary. Her second book will be coming out soon! We love sharing the successes of our former students.
Mountain View
Family Literacy Night at MVES was a huge success. Between navigating an awesome escape room, playing Bingo, listening to some student poetry, and picking up literacy games to play at home, FUN was had by all!
