Please note: Students will not be permitted to bring backpacks into school on the last day. Locker access will also be unavailable.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and respectful school environment for all students and staff.
Middle School Combine at the Corner!
We want to make you aware of a dangerous new TikTok trend that has been reported across the county—and, unfortunately, observed here at Royal Oak Middle School. This trend involves students using a metal object (such as a paperclip or pin) to short out the USB port or battery on a Chromebook in an attempt to create an electrical arc.
This behavior is extremely dangerous and can result in smoke, fire, or serious injury.
We urge all families to talk to their students about the dangers of this trend and reinforce the importance of using school technology responsibly and safely.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students and school community safe.
