As our 8th graders embark on their next adventure, we celebrate their hard work, growth, and achievements. Their journey has been filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and we couldn't be prouder. They Did It—And Wow, Did They Shine!
Excel’s newly formed Girls on the Run club has officially crossed the finish line—literally and figuratively! All 13 girls completed the City Park 5K on May 17, proving they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. But this program is about more than running—through physical activity and life lessons, girls built confidence, managed emotions, and strengthened friendships. They even completed a community project, creating 25 goodie bags for children at the Children's Hospital. Their mottos? “Super Super Girl Power” and “My Energy, My Passion.”
Girls on the Run has empowered thousands across Colorado’s Front Range since 2005, and this new club is no exception. One season down, many more inspiring journeys to come!

Support our growing garden program and help us build a greenhouse!
Purchase Colorado-made Magnificent Garden Plant Food for just $20 and give your garden—and ours—a boost! All proceeds go toward the purchase of a greenhouse, similar to the one pictured here, allowing our students to enjoy hands-on gardening all year long. In addition to a gardening-focused Exploration group, we are looking to add a horticulture elective for our middle school students. Help us grow something great together! 🌱

Celebrating a Wonderful Year at Excel Academy Library!
We had 23 adult volunteers and around 10 Student Leaders support the Library this year and I am so grateful for all of your support. I have been blessed with so many cards and letters thanking me for the engaging lessons I have taught and the friendly/supportive environment I created in the Library. I was able to accomplish all of this because of the support of my volunteers and Student Leaders. THANK YOU! Your contributions provided me the time to accomplish all the Digital Learning lessons and Environment in the Library. I will miss you all so much. Have a fantastic summer!!!

Library Checkout Update: All books that were not checked in were marked “Lost.” If you find the books over the summer, please bring them to the Excel Academy Library when you return in August. Our checkouts this school year were 1,000 more than last school year, so happy to have more circulations, this equates to more readers. “Readers are Leaders,” so keep turning those pages all summer long, Eagles!

CDE Parent Portal for CMAS
CDE has developed a parent portal system for families to access online CMAS testing reports in June, as opposed to waiting until paper reports are released later in the summer/fall. Families will need their child’s ten-digit state ID number, which will be accessible in Jeffco Student Insights and Jeffco Campus before June 11. This information will be shared in the Jeffco Community Update and will also be on Jeffco's public websites.

While families will receive the preliminary performance reports on June 11 in the Family Portal, the final performance reports with district and state comparisons will not be available in the Family Portal until June 30.
