Honoring Our Military Personnel and Veterans: A Heartfelt Thank You
Today, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude as I write to express my deepest thanks to those who joined us in honoring our military personnel and veterans today. It was a truly moving and heartfelt event, and I am incredibly proud of our school community for coming together to pay tribute to these brave individuals.
As we gathered today for breakfast, I was reminded of the sacrifices made by our military personnel and veterans, whose selflessness and dedication have ensured the safety and security of our nation. Their courage and unwavering commitment serve as an inspiration to us all, and it is only fitting that we take the time to recognize and appreciate their service.
As we move forward this weekend, let us carry the spirit of unity and gratitude that we experienced today with us. Let us continue to teach our children the importance of honoring and respecting those who have served our country, instilling in them the values of empathy, kindness, and appreciation.
Once again, thank you to everyone who made today's event possible. Your efforts have made a difference, and I am truly proud to be a part of this incredible school community. Together, we have shown our military personnel and veterans the respect and gratitude they deserve.
EAGLE RIDGE PROJECT MAGIC SCHOOL BUS TOY DRIVE 2023
Bringing joy to children this holiday season. Our school is joining this beautiful cause organized by the School Social Work Program of Broward County Public Schools. The students receiving your gifts are carefully identified by school social workers serving Broward County Public Schools to help families in our Broward school community. Please help us spread holiday cheer to families in need within our community. The School Social Work Program and our student council will collect new, unwrapped toys for needy children. Your generosity will go a long way to brighten a child's day this holiday season. Whether you wish to donate new toys and/or gift cards, someone will be very grateful that you did it. The student's Counsel has proposed to collect at least 300 donated toys from the Eagle Ridge Elementary Community, so let’s work together for this fantastic goal. The collection will start on November 13 through December 11. Please bring your donations to the front office. As a reminder, do not bring any toys that resemble hand weapons. i.e., Nerf guns, water guns, etc. Your KINDNESS and SUPPORT are always greatly APPRECIATED!

What's going on in Dual Language
“Hola a todos” “Hello everyone” Kindergarteners dual language students are in the adventure of learning the Spanish alphabet, how to build syllables, words and reading fluency. This is one of the steps to build our oral language acquisition in Spanish. It is amazing to see how students are using Spanish language on some occasions, greeting teachers and peers. From our Benchmark curriculum we are learning about the characters, the setting and the main events when reading a story. On this month of November, we will learn about timelines and how to be thankful by creating projects about Thanksgiving. We are having so much fun learning Spanish and interacting with peers.
