Dear Cirby Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. Just a reminder that grades 3 through 5 have the CAASPP State Testing coming up soon. Testing began on April 23rd for 5th grade and April 29th for 3rd and 4th grades. 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be tested in ELA and Math, 5th grade will also be tested in Science. We are hoping to have all testing completed by May 17th. Here are some tips on things you and your child can do to prepare for our state test:
- Get a good night's rest each night
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Arrive to school on time
- Dress in layers in order to adjust for temperatures
- Remind them that this is their time to SHINE! Do their very best, read each question and answer thoroughly, eliminate wrong answers, and take their time.
Also, we have many fun events coming up such as field trips, incentive days for PBIS, musicals, and class activities. We want to finish off our school year on a positive note and want all of our Cirby Eagles to be successful. Please encourage your child to remember and follow our Cirby Expectations everyday.
Warmly,
Farah Friend | Principal

PBIS Incentive
Each trimester there is an incentive and reward for positive behavior. Students who follow the three Cirby expectations (Show Respect, Make Good Decisions and Solve Problems) have the opportunity to earn the extra activity at the end of the trimester. Any student who has less than 3 office referrals in the trimester is included in the activity. Students who have 3 or more office referrals will work with another teacher during the extra activity.
