Falcon Ridge Family Updates
September 16, 2024
News and Tidbits
It is time to schedule your Parent-Teacher Conference meetings for September 25th-27th. This is an essential opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress. The office sent an important link to Signup Genius last week. Please plan to attend and make the most of this important time. Our goal is 100% participation!
There are many changes on the Falcon Ridge property, including new hydroseed, benches, and trees! We are pleased with how beautiful it is beginning to look, and the grass should be ready for students in the spring. Also, we appreciate Mr. Wallas earning grants for new benches and planting two new trees in the front by the greenhouses.
A special thank you to our PTO for organizing the first annual Fun Run. Students, families, and staff had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect! Thank you to all who helped organize this event and those who donated to the teachers' classroom funds.
What sets Falcon Ridge apart from other schools? Our unwavering commitment to rigor, both in academics and character development. Current research studies indicate that America has dropped to the middle of the pack for student achievement, but at Falcon Ridge, we are determined to rise to the top.
This year, our theme is Cowboy Up: Raising the Rigor. We believe in holding our students to the highest standards, not just in their schoolwork and homework, but also in their manners and behavior. At Falcon Ridge, we are dedicated to helping our students grow into responsible, respectful, and well-rounded citizens. Together, we will ensure that every student leaves our school prepared to excel in all areas of life.
Thursday is a school spirit and hat day! Also, we can order school merch this week.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a great month ahead!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jorgensen

Safe School Pick-Up
As part of our continuous commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all our students, we kindly remind you of our designated student pickup protocol.
For the safety of our students, we ask that you please adhere to the following guidelines during the student pickup process:
Designated Pickup Spot: Please arrive at the designated pickup spot indicated by the school. This helps streamline the pickup process and ensures a smooth flow of traffic.
Teacher Supervision: Our teachers will be present at the pickup spot to assist with safely escorting students to your vehicles. This also allows us to verify that the student is being picked up by an authorized person.
Communication: If there are any changes to the pickup routine, such as a different authorized person picking up the student, please inform the school office in advance. This will help us avoid any confusion and ensure the safety of your child.
Patience and Courtesy: We kindly ask for your patience during the pickup process, especially during peak times. Your courtesy towards fellow parents and staff is greatly appreciated.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can collectively maintain a secure environment for all students. We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your ongoing support in prioritizing the safety of our students.
Middle School Sports Practice and Home Games
Middle School Sports Practice and Home Games
We are so excited that the sports season has begun! Here is some important information regarding practices and home games:
Elementary students and siblings must be accompanied by an adult and can come to games when doors open
Siblings of students can not stay after school during practices due to not have staff to supervise students who are not participating
The main doors will be unlocked at 3:30 for home game guests
PTO Corner
The PTO wants to give a shout out to parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and especially the students!!! It was a successful first annual Fun Run. It would not have been possible without everyone’s involvement, so thank you. It was empowering seeing each students strength and determination as they made each lap. These students have grit! I was touched when the middle school students spent their recess cheering on the third graders. It grew from a couple students cheering, to a line of students giving the runners high fives, to a cheering tunnel they ran through. You parents should be proud of the compassion and encouragement they expressed.
The beginning of the school year is packed with fun. Our next activity is just one week away. We will be hosting the Book Fair in the gym each day during school until 3:30, Wednesday until 7:00 pm, Thursday 10:00-6:00 and Friday 8:00-12:00. Feel free to drop by during Parent Teacher Conferences or after school hours. If you are wanting to help with the book fair an email went out with a sign up genius link. Please email pto.frc@ gmail.com with any questions.
Start thinking of how you’re going to decorate your trunk for our annual Falcon Ridge Trunk or Treat. That will occur on 10/11 at 6pm.
