Writing Lab

First, the students will Get Their Wiggles Out with the videos below. Next, they will watch a video about the 5 Little Pumpkins. Then, they will choose a pumpkin face and glue on a picture of a pumpkin. If time remains, they will cut out their pumpkin and glue on construction paper.

After students Get their Wiggles Out, they will watch a read aloud video about a ghost. Next, students will brainstorm what a ghost might dress up as on Halloween and write it down. Last, they will disguise their ghost.

Students will watch a read aloud about a haunted house. Next, they will write and describe their own haunted house.

Students will watch a read aloud about a teacher monster. Next, they will create a picture of their teacher to make her look like a monster. Last, they will write about their teacher monster.

First students will watch a short video to get them ideas for making a witches brew/potion. Next, students will brainstorm the ingredients for a potion and then write what the potion will do if it is drank.
