A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
This past week, I witnessed several rewards of hard work, passion, and dedication for some of our students, teachers, coaches, and directors. The Greyhound Marching Band performed at the Area Marching contest, FFA students competed in Leadership events, the Hound football team secured a playoff birth, and our Boys Cross Country team got 2nd place at the 5A UIL State Meet. These are a few of the many successes we get to experience throughout the school year.
As I am obviously proud of these accomplishments, along with the many that have occurred and will occur this year, the point of recognizing it this week is to realize it doesn't "just happen." It reminds me of the great Vince Lombardi's quote, "The man on the top of the mountain didn't just fall there." These students and campus leaders have not just put in hours of time and work but, for many of them, years. Students' experiences in these activities are the closest thing to real life we can share with them. Please continue encouraging your students to find activities and organizations to participate in. These are important in the education of your student. The more experiences they have, the better.
I'll leave you with this quote for this week: "The big-time is not a place, it's the state of your heart. It's not something you get, it's something you become." - Frosty Westering
GO BE "BIG-TIME" IN WHATEVER YOU DESIRE!!!
"Everyone has a role in our students' education... the students, teachers and staff, the parents, and the community... Go Hounds!"

Boerne HS Theater Presents...
In just a few days, the Boerne High School Theatre Department will present The Red Velvet Cake War! A riotously funny Southern-fried comedy focusing on the wildly eccentric Verdeens as they gather on the hottest day of July, smack-dab in the middle of Texas tornado season. Things spin hilariously out of control when a neighborβs pet devours everything edible, a one-eyed suitor shows up to declare his love and a jaw-dropping high-stakes wager is made on who bakes the best red velvet cake. As this fast-paced romp barrels toward its uproarious climax, youβll wish your own family reunions were this much fun!
We hope to see you all there!
Saturday, November 9th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm
Sunday, November 10th at 2:00pm

Boerne HS Campus Behavior Expectations...
Parents,
We ask that you review our "Campus Behavior Expectations" with your student. If your student wants to be successful at Boerne HS academically, socially, and emotionally, these three simple, easy expectations can be followed. As faculty and staff, we plan to model these behaviors to our students daily. We will be visiting with and reminding our students about these expectations consistently and ask that you do the same.
Be prompt and productive - be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there, and do what you are supposed to do.
Have respect for yourself and others - when you have respect, you make good, thoughtful choices considering everyone's feelings and beliefs.
See something, say something - be a voice for someone when they can't. If you see or know something is wrong, alert an adult you know ASAP. Don't overlook something you know is wrong.
