Congratulations to our new prinicpal approved by the DVUSD governing board Tuesday.

Mrs. Alisha Kellum will be the new principal at Las Brisas Elementary School for the 25-26 school year, continuing the great work of Mara Kurasch and Tiffani Morrison.

All first responders in attendance will be provided with donuts and coffee in the library following the event compliments of PTSA.

Please remember that we cannot accept students on campus until 7:45am as our teacher supervision and duties do not begin until this time. Please ensure that you are not dropping your student off before 7:45, thank you!

Our Yearbook Club has put the finishing touches on our Yearbook, and it looks fabulous! They are so excited to share it with you. Yearbooks are currently on sale for $35 and can be ordered online. Supplies are limited and they will sell fast once they are delivered. So don't delay and get yours today.

Select Las Brisas students attended the Council, composed of about 50 students from grades 5-12 across DVUSD schools, organizes a service-learning project each year. Originally for high schools, it now includes representatives from multiple schools. This year’s project was the Wellness Wonderland Summit, focusing on physical and mental health, tech management, relationships, communication, and hygiene. The Summit aims to educate students through interactive activities, tailored for grades 5-8 and high school. Its primary goal is to inspire leadership and unity among students while equipping them with essential wellness skills to impact their communities.

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books winners, Tale Tellers, made up of fifth graders Owen Alden, Jude Smith, and Jonas Dewey. They will be representing Las Brisas at the District Battle on March 25. WAY TO GO & wonderful job to all of our battle of the books teams.

We are thrilled to unveil our NEW 2-3 Multiage Renaissance Program!

This exciting expansion of our Renaissance program is designed to nurture and challenge our young learners.

On April 24th from 4-4:30, we'll be hosting an informative and engaging parent night in the Las Brisas library specifically for families transitioning to the 2-3 Multiage Renaissance Program.

Get ready to discover how the program can spark your child's curiosity and set them on a path to extraordinary learning.

Coach Hahn is asking for volunteers to help manage stations.

Please arrive on time to allow for time to learn your station. All volunteers must already have DVUSD volunteer training completed and cannot bring siblings to the event.

During our 1:15 pm dismissal time, teachers meet together, and we call these Collaborative Team meetings. Las Brisas is a PLC school (Professional Learning Community). Our 90-minute early release days support planning for student learning, interventions, and targeted support. This time is invaluable to our teachers, and our students, as it gives critical time to our teacher teams to design skill-based instruction and assessments, review student progress data, and design supports and interventions.
