Principal's Message
Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, growth, and memories we’ve shared as a school community. It has truly been a year filled with academic excellence, artistic expression, athletic accomplishment, and community spirit.
Academic Growth and Innovation
We are proud to report notable increases in academic performance across grade levels this year. Our students and teachers have worked tirelessly, and the results speak for themselves — we are seeing higher achievement, greater engagement, and stronger outcomes than ever before. In response to growing school spirit and student needs, we’re excited to announce that our school store will move to an online platform for the 2025–2026 school year to better serve our families and keep up with demand!
Athletics Excellence
It was a banner year for our athletic teams in the MACC league. We brought home championship titles in Softball and Boys Basketball (B and C Teams) — congratulations to our players and coaches!
We also earned runner-up finishes in several highly competitive categories:
-
Girls Basketball (A Team)
-
Boys Basketball (A Team)
-
Boys and Girls Cross Country
-
Baseball (A and B Teams)
Your hard work, teamwork, and perseverance made us all proud.
Performing Arts Highlights
Our music and arts programs had a phenomenal year:
🎶 We took over 200 students to Universal Studios for a special performance opportunity.
🎠Our students brought energy and talent to the stage in this year’s musical, Seussical Jr.
🎼 We performed at the City Springs Performing Arts Center, raising over $18,000 to support our school's growing arts programs.
Some incredible individual accomplishments include:
-
One orchestra student accepted into Orchestra All-State
-
Two students selected for District Honor Band
-
Eight students in 6th Grade Honor Band
-
Twenty-one students in District Honor Chorus
-
Four students in Statewide Honor Chorus
-
Two students in All-State Chorus
We also had over 500 students participate in the Large Group Performance Evaluation, where they earned Superior and Excellent Ratings — a remarkable testament to the talent and dedication of both students and staff.
Thanks to the generous support of our Foundation, the music department received 172 new instruments, ensuring that every student can explore and grow in the arts.
Throughout the year, our orchestra and chorus students also performed at numerous community events including Hispanic Heritage Night, the Black History Month Assembly, the 8th Grade Awards Ceremony, and the Olympics Opening Ceremony, as well as five stand-alone concerts. They also enjoyed fun community-building events like ice skating, a trampoline park outing, and an end-of-year celebration with food and family.
As we head into the summer, I want to thank our students for their passion and commitment, our families for their unwavering support, and our staff for their dedication and heart. Together, we’ve made this year one to remember.
Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and restful summer. We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together in the year ahead!
With gratitude,
Principal Thomas Garrett

While you're cleaning out for summer, consider donating old school uniforms that are too small or might not be needed if your student is moving on to a new school.
