Dear Woodside Elementary Community,

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible two years I have spent serving you and your families. As many of you know, I will be transitioning to become the principal at Los Lagos Bilingual Academy, marking the conclusion of my tenure at Woodside Elementary.

During these past two years, I have had the privilege of growing as a professional, sharing experiences with outstanding educators, and forming meaningful connections with students and families who will always hold a special place in my heart. I am proud to continue my journey with West Ottawa Public Schools!

We are also excited to announce that Mrs. Jessica Tenckinck, our current Dean of Students, will officially take on the role of Principal at Woodside at the end of this school year.

Mrs. Tenckinck is an exceptional leader with many years of experience, and we are confident she will continue to inspire and guide our school community. Please join us in welcoming her and offering your support in the upcoming year. Together, let’s embark on a fantastic journey ahead!

As families prepare for kindergarten, it’s important they know that children need a hearing and vision screening before starting school. Even if your school doesn’t offer kindergarten, please help spread the word – understanding a child’s hearing and vision needs is a key step in supporting their readiness to learn.
