Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Thank you for continuing to be safe and aware during arrival and dismissal! I want to take a moment to review procedures.
In the morning, please pull up to the right side of Olive Street so your student can step out onto the curb and not cross in front of busses or other cars. Also, please pull up as far as you can (To the farthest light post past the flagpole) to allow traffic to keep moving. Finally, please do not stay in the lane once your student has left the car, this is another way to keep traffic moving.
In the afternoon, please try not to arrive until at least 2:15. Dismissal seems to go much smoother and actually faster for parent pick-up when the busses have already left. When you arrive, please pull up to the right side of Olive Street so your student does not have to cross the street in front of other cars. If you arrive while busses are still in the lane, you may pull to the left side of Olive Street to not be in the bus lane.
Thank you for working to keep our students safe!
October PBIS Reward
Congratulations to all of our students that followed cafeteria expectations for the month of October. During WIN on Friday, November 1st, and Monday and Tuesday November 4th and 5th students that earned the reward by staying in their seat, talking at an appropriate volume and keeping their area clean were able to come to the gym for a dance party. All students had a great time ending the day with some down time. Keep up the great work!
November's PBIS focus is bus Behavior. We are hoping with the extra focus on expectations students will remain safe and respectful on our busses to and from school.

PSSA Growth Report
Our PSSA scores from last year are in, and data reports and analysis for our students, staff and school have begun. Over the next couple weeks we will be sharing results with students, analyzing scores as a staff and goal setting as a building. I am very proud of our students and staff for our growth report shown below.
As a building last year, our 6th graders met (and almost exceeded) the growth expectation in Math and far exceeded the growth expectation in ELA.
Congratulations to our students, teachers and families for all the effort it takes to achieve results like this! Thank you for all that you do. It takes a village, and I know we are all working hard. I am excited to see what this year's results will be!
