Together with the Office of Innovation, OLIS invites you to join us for a two-day intensive copyright workshop at Bryant University from 9-4 on February 21 & 22 with Harvard University’s Copyright Advisor, Kyle Courtney. Topics covered will include public domain, fair use, open access and open education resources. Seats are limited, so please register to attend one or both days.

Voting for the 2018 RI Children's Book Award by students in grades 3-5 will take place February 1 through March 2. School and public libraries are invited to submit their students' and patrons' votes for their favorite book among the 2018 nominees.
The Governor's proposed budget includes level funding of state aid to libraries in fiscal year 2019.

How do you offer outreach in your community? We'll discuss what works (and what doesn't) and share tips for successful partnerships that have supported your outreach efforts. Please come prepared with an example of your current outreach model or ideas you have for a new endeavor.
