The Year Ahead for HPS
2024-2025 School Year
Dear HPS Community,
Welcome back! As we embark on a new school year, I am thrilled to reconnect with our students, families, and the entire Hingham Public Schools community. This year marks a period of transition for our district, and I want to assure you that our focus is fully centered on fostering learning environments where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired.
After a busy few weeks of leadership meetings and final preparations of our school buildings, the school year officially kicked off earlier this week with orientation for new educators and paraeducators. This morning, we welcomed back HPS faculty for convocation activities and annual trainings. Tomorrow, we welcome Grade 9 students for their orientation at HHS, and we look forward to welcoming all K-12 students on Wednesday, September 4th.
Our educators, administrators, and staff are dedicated to making this year a positive and successful experience for all. Together, we will build on our strengths and continue to create inclusive spaces where every student has the opportunity to flourish and thrive.
Thank you for your trust and partnership as we navigate this new chapter together. I look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and success.
Sincerely,
Kathryn (Katie) Roberts

New Teacher Orientation
Many thanks to the HPS mentoring team for organizing two full days of orientation activities for new faculty. In addition to participating in workshops that will lay a foundation to support the success of new educators, one of the highlights of the orientation is a bus tour to get to know the Hingham community. Welcome aboard to our newest team members!
