Dear Parents / Carers,
Thank you once again for your unwavering support this week. As we move into my final week at Carleton Park, I wish to touch upon some of the highlights from the last few days.
Year 6 SATs Results
The Year 6 SATs results, which were shared this week, are UNBELIEVABLE! As a school, we have performed superbly well yet again, and this is a credit to the amazing children, staff, and parents we have at Carleton Park.
Pontefract Academies Trust Games Champions
Yesterday, Carleton Park was crowned overall sports CHAMPIONS of the Trust out of the seven primary schools. This follows a full year of events, which included our youngest age range right through to our oldest pupils.
Year 6 Performances
Our talented Year 6 pupils put on a host of performances this week for pupils, staff, and, of course, parents. The children were superb throughout each performance!
Talent Show
A huge well done to all our children who made it through to perform in front of their parents and carers this week. The bravery to get on stage was exemplary and inspiring, with the Extended After School Club also throwing in a little surprise at the end (I will admit, it got me slightly!).
Transition Day
Finally, Monday will see our annual transition day, where each class moves up to the next teacher.
Mrs. Winter will be in attendance for this and is very much looking forward to coming across for the day.
Have a great weekend, everyone—let's hope football is coming home!

Transition Day- Monday 15th July 2024
Our teaching and support staff are looking forward to spending the day with their new classes on Monday 15th July. Children need to arrive at school at 8.40am at their current classroom door. Parents will then pick their children up from their new classroom door. For example, if your child is currently in Y2 please arrive at the Y2 door. They will spend the day in Y3 and be collected from the Y3 door.
If your child is in Y6 and not attending a Trust High School next year, they will be our little helpers for the day!
