Hello McPherson Families,
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Literacy Lunch on the Lawn last week. It was a great success, and it was wonderful to see so many families connecting as a McPherson community. Also, thank you to all of our volunteers who ran a successful Book Fair.
This week is Red Ribbon Week! This is a chance for us to celebrate making healthy life choices. Our Leadership students have planned spirit days and some other fun activities for us.
This week, there is a schoolwide flag and awards assembly on Wednesday, 10/25 at 8:10 am, followed by a Principal's Coffee/PTA meeting in Room 500. All parents are invited to attend.

Wear Sunglasses and show you’re too cool to do drugs!!! (Uniform required)
Wednesday, 10/25 – “LEI OFF DRUGS – BE KIND TO YOUR MIND AND DON’T DO DRUGS!”
Wear a Lei and a Hawaiian/Beach shirt to show your promise to stay drug free. (Uniform bottoms required)
Thursday, 10/26 – “TRYING DRUGS IS JUST NUTS – BE KIND TO YOUR MIND! DRUG FREE FOR ME”
Wear as many nutty patterns and mismatched colors as you can and show your commitment to a drug free life. (Totally Thrilling Thursday Spirit Day – Games and Music at lunch)

Boo Grams on Sale
Greetings McPherson families! Boo Grams are back and will be on sale this week!!! Grams are on sale from Tuesday, October 17, starting at lunch, until Thursday, October 26. The cost varies from $0.25 to $0.75, depending on the type of gram you purchase. This October, send a scare to show you care!
Where Can I Purchase a Gram? The grams are being sold in front of the office and at the back gate every morning before school and every day after school. They will also be sold during Middle School and Elementary lunch for your students to purchase. Grams will be delivered Tuesday, the 31st of October!!!
BOX TOPS - WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
Hello McPherson Families! My name is Trinh and I'm your school Box Top for Education Coordinator.
Our school is participating in Box Tops, which means that you can earn cash with the products you already buy to help our school earn money for classroom supplies. We need your help, collecting Box Tops to earn cash for McPherson. Each one is worth 10¢! Everyone’s participation is helpful. Let's work together to give our students what they need to succeed — and see how much we can earn this year!
Here's how you can help:
· If you haven't done so already, download the Box Tops app on your smartphone.
· Buy Box Tops products, scan your receipt with the Box Tops app within 14 days of purchase and earn for McPherson with every Box Tops product you buy. The earnings through the application are recognized immediately.
· Our school will get a check to spend on classroom supplies. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE STUDENT & TEACHER’S NAME UNDER “GIVE CREDIT MEMO.”
· Refer your friends, family and other parents in the school to sign up for Box Tops. You'll earn Bonus Box Tops for our school when your referral scans their first receipt!
· Turn on notifications in your Box Tops app to get scan reminders and stay updated on special offers, new products and opportunities to earn for our school. Go to your Communications Settings by tapping on the person icon in the upper-right corner of the app.
· If you shop online, you can earn with your digital or email receipt, too.
