Mrs. Geurin’s Classes
Sixth grade will be working through Unit 2 covering expressions, equations, and inequalities, solving problems using equations and inequalities, and real world relationships. They will then move into Unit 3 on ratios and rational reasoning with modules covering ratios and rates, applying ratios and rates to measurement, identifying and representing proportional relationships, and proportional reasoning with percents before moving into geometry.
Science-
Sixth grade will continue in Topic 3 covering forms of energy and energy change and conversions. They will then begin the next topic on Earth's systems covering matter and energy in Earth's system, surface features in the geosphere, and the hydrosphere. They will then move into a study of weather in the atmosphere.
Mrs. Bradley’s Classes
Sixth Grade will be focusing on Europe. They will pose and answer questions about geographic distributions and patterns for various world regions and countries shown on maps, graphs, and charts. They will also compare various world regions and countries using data from maps, graphs, and charts; and create written and visual material such as journal entries, reports, graphic organizers, outlines, and bibliographies based on research.

Literature and Composition
Students will read several units on the topics of "Finding Courage" and
"Through an Animal's Eyes. Students will also continue reading and working on the novel," A Long Walk to Water."
