Principal's Message
January 26, 2025
Our Middle of the Year Assessments will be continuing. There will be writing, 2nd language testing, fitness testing-even vision and hearing for a few grade levels. There is a lot happening on campus. Coming up-State testing.
I wanted to make parents aware of students hanging out in the park after school. I get some complaints about the students there (Not only John Muir students). Be sure and tell your students to come home right away. I want to keep our students out of trouble.
The PTA will be offering Baseball By The Books program. Keep track of your child's reading to get free Ports baseball tickets.

CALIFORNIA'S DAYLIGHTING LAW AB 413
We are excited to announce our collaboration with the City of Lodi to help raise awareness about California’s new traffic law, AB 413. This legislation introduces important changes at improving road safety and ensuring responsible driving practices across the state.
As a community, it’s vital that we stay informed about laws that impact our daily lives. AB 413 prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any marked or unmarked crosswalk or within 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension/bulbout is present, whether or not the curb is painted red. This is a safety measure known as “Daylighting”. Effective January 2025, the rules will be applied whether or not the curb is painted red.
