SUMMER 2024 EDITION
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy July! I hope that everyone is enjoying a very relaxing and safe summer holiday! Life is very busy here at school as we are working to prepare for an excellent new school year!
We have had some changes in our faculty for the next school year. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Brett Walzer back to Holy Family! Mr. Walzer is very excited to continue classroom music instruction as well as keyboard lessons, choir and preparing our school liturgies. We wish to thank Miss Saxton for her year of service to our school and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
Many of you may know that Mrs. Blickle is expecting a bundle of joy in early September. She will be on maternity leave for the first trimester of the school year. While she is out, Ms. Jill Kotarski, who worked with Mrs. Blickle for the past year and a half, will be the long-term substitute. Ms. Kotarski has worked closely with Mrs. Blickle, knows her classroom routine and the expectations of the second grade. We expect to have a seamless transition for students assigned to Mrs. Blickle this year!
We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Laura Niatas as our new second grade teacher for the 2A classroom! Mrs. Niatas, in addition to already being a part of our school community as a parent, also completed her student teaching experience in our 4th grade with Mrs. Sonnie. Mrs. Niatas worked as a substitute teacher last year and is very excited to begin teaching at Holy Family!
We are sad to share that Mrs. Karen Seger will not be returning to Holy Family next year. Mrs. Seger requested time to care for her family. We thank Mrs. Seger for her years of service here at Holy Family and send our prayers and best wishes to her and her family. We are currently searching for Mrs. Seger’s replacement and will share that information as soon as we can!
Our tentative school year calendar is ready and is available in this newsletter. Please review it for important start of the school year dates and events!
Our Home and School Association will be sponsoring two evenings for parents to view items in our Uniform Swap Shop. If you are looking for uniform pieces or have uniforms to share, please stop by the Large Hall on either Monday, August 5th or Tuesday, August 6th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
As a reminder, our school office and staff are available to assist you with any school concerns Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
May God continue to bless all our students and families this summer!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
We are a family of FAITH!
Remember to go to Mass this weekend.
