Fremont Trimester 1 Highlights
Career Exploration Event at Lake County Tech Campus
A group of 45 Fremont Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders explored potential career fields by participating in the Future Quest event at Lake County Tech Campus. Students explored and participated in hands-on learning in a variety of programs such as welding, nursing, automotive, crime scene investigation, early childhood education, and more. We are appreciative of this partnership with Lake County Tech Campus as we continue to add to our list of opportunities for our students to learn beyond our classroom walls.
Congrats to the Girls Soccer Team!
The Fremont Middle School girls soccer team enjoyed another tremendous season this fall under the direction of Coach Andrew Markovic. The Wildcats advanced all the way to the championship game of their conference tournament and earned a hard-fought second-place finish. Congratulations on a great season!
ISBE Summative Designation Status
On October 27, the Illinois State Board of Education announced the 2022 designation status for schools. Not only were all of our schools at the level of "Commendable" once again this year (a consistent designation since 2018), but Fremont Elementary School/Lincoln and Fremont Intermediate School have earned “Exemplary” status. To earn "Exemplary" status, a school must perform in the top 10% of schools statewide, with no underperforming student groups. Fremont Middle School just missed out on the top 10%, but has demonstrated tremendous growth with fall. We are encouraged by their continued progress.
We enjoyed a festive Halloween holiday this week. Enjoy these fun photos of our annual traditions back on track.
